Adult Program Spanish Classes

Spanish classes are also offered in three sessions throughout the year. Registration for the fall session is from August 31st – September 10th.  TLP will offer evening and morning classes for beginning and intermediate students. A native speaking or bilingual staff member will instruct the classes.

Spanish classes will be student centered and conducted in a natural, fun, and meaningful way. All four skills; speaking, listening, reading, and writing will be used regularly. Students will also gain awareness of cultural norms that are important for communicating with Spanish speakers from Mexico and other countries where Spanish is spoken.

Beginning Classes:  Students will learn basic vocabulary and grammar in order to communicate at a comfortable level with native spanish speakers. This will be accomplished by learning a variety of greetings, reactions, simple questions, and learn how to conjugate commonly used verbs.

Intermediate Classes: Students will review previously learned material and add to their knowledge by using a variety of expressions to be able to more fully express their ideas and opinions.  Students will also learn how to conjugate a variety of Spanish tenses, and gain confidence in speaking and writing about a variety of topics related to every day life.
